Guides

A reading order for drift driving, written for this fan site rather than as a level walkthrough.

Getting started

Start with Game Overview so the names are straight. This website is CarX Drift Racing Online 2. The Google Play app it discusses is listed as CarX Drift Racing 2. The site does not install the game. The store link is labeled View Game on Google Play.

Then read Gameplay once, slowly. Notice which sentences say “the listing says” and which sentences say the advice is general. That distinction is the whole method of these guides. A general tip can still help you drive. It is not permission to treat the tip as a hidden game rule.

Learning the controls

The listing names a handbrake used to skid, steering for quick direction changes, reverse driving, and drift donuts. Learn the handbrake on a wide piece of track before you try to link corners. In general, a short pull starts rotation and a long pull throws speed away. The game does not publish a duration on the store page, so do not hunt this site for one.

Throttle and steering come next. Add throttle to keep the rear loose, lift if the car is about to spin, and steer toward where you want the nose to settle. Look at the exit. The longer version is on Drift Techniques. The short version is on Tips.

Common beginner mistakes

Staring at the smoke instead of the exit. Holding the handbrake until the car stops rotating and simply slows down. Turning in harder after the car has already over-rotated. Changing five setup items at once and then not knowing which one helped. Copying a horsepower number or a gear ratio from a page that is not this one, because this one does not have those numbers.

Another mistake is treating an illustration as a map. The pictures are drawings. The circuit outline is labeled as unnamed. The surface panels repeat asphalt, sand, grass, and snow because those four words are on the listing, not because the drawing is a location select screen.

A question you want to keep

The form stores a message in this browser under the local storage key cxdr-notes, up to twenty recent copies, and it opens an email draft to [email protected]. The website does not upload the message. The draft is sent only if you send it from your email app. You can remove the local copies with the button below.

Read the privacy policy before you store a personal detail on a shared computer.

Where to read next

Tips holds the accordion. Features lets you filter cards. Contact repeats the same kind of local save if you would rather write from that page.

What these guides are not

They are not cheat codes, secret-car lists, unlock routes, or achievement maps. If a feature is only a name on the store listing, the guide says so and stops.

A practice order that does not invent a syllabus

The guides on this page are a suggested reading and practice order for the material this fan site actually has. They are not a mission list from CarX Drift Racing 2, and they are not a claim that the game unlocks skills in this sequence. Start with the listing facts so you know what is sourced, then add one general habit at a time. If the game disagrees with a habit, follow the game. The habit was labeled general for that reason.

First, learn the handbrake as the listing describes it: a pull that makes the car skid. On a wide piece of course, use a short pull to start rotation and notice what a long pull does to speed. That timing advice is general, not a millisecond from the store. Second, notice the surface. Asphalt, sand, grass, and snow are the four the listing names. Change only the surface, if the mode lets you, before you change the car. Third, look at the car only long enough to confirm the slide, then look toward where you want to exit. Vision is general advice. The drone camera in online rooms is a different thing: a listing feature for watching other players, not a command to stare at your own bumper.

Fourth, open Car Tuning and change one category. Suspension, springs, tyre pressure, wheel angle, engine, turbine pressure, gearbox, brakes, and a locking differential are the performance names. Mirrors, lights, running boards, bumpers, body kits, rims, and vinyls are the visual names. Tyre pressure is the category the listing also ties to physics, still without a number. Do not change three of them and then decide the guide failed. Fifth, try a simple direction change, a short stretch of reverse, or a donut only because the listing says those movements exist. They are familiarity drills, not score targets.

Sixth, read the XDS description on Gameplay before you enter a tandem and expect a points breakdown. You lead, then you follow your own line, and the listing says the run uses a 100-point system based on real drift judging. This guide will not add the missing weights. Seventh, treat cups, Ghost mode, clubs, rooms, championships, leagues, and Top-32 as names to recognize, not as events this website schedules. Eighth, keep your own notes. The form on this page stores up to twenty messages in this browser under the key cxdr-notes and can open an email draft to [email protected]. The website does not upload the note. Your mail program sends it only if you press send. The draft is not addressed to the developers of the game.

Write notes in your own words: the surface, the one tuning category you changed, and whether the handbrake pull was too long. Do not write passwords, payment numbers, or someone else's information. The copy in the browser is readable by anyone who can open this profile, and a sent email is readable at the fan-site mailbox. Remove saved messages deletes the local list. It does not recall an email you already sent. For that, write again to the same address, call +65 6264 3191, or post to 48 Toh Guan Road East, #01-119 Enterprise Hub, Singapore 608586.

The home-page form is only a preface. It carries your name, email, and topic to Contact in the address bar. It does not store the message and it does not open a draft. Use the form on this page or on Contact when you want the local copy and the draft. Topic names on the home page match the topic names here so the prefill can select the same option. If a topic is missing, choose the closest one and put the detail in the message. The search and filters on Features are a better way to find a subject than sending a note that only asks where a page lives.

Illustrations in the guides are JPEG drawings. A steering wheel with the words steer, throttle, balance, and look ahead is a picture of the general habits, not a HUD from the game. Do not search the garage for a button labeled with that exact phrase. Do not treat the night-road drawing as a track you can select. Gallery says the same thing at more length, once per image.

When a guide sentence and the store listing diverge, the listing wins for facts about the game. Send the divergence to the fan-site email so the page can be corrected. Do not send a request for lap times, horsepower, or a price, and do not expect this form to install the game. The install path is the button labeled View Game on Google Play, which leaves this website for the store.
